- A tired, worn-through stair carpet replaced and a bare hallway given a floor that copes with muddy shoes by the front door.
- What I fitted
- A hard-wearing beige carpet on the stairs, and patterned vinyl through the hallway and downstairs toilet.
- Anything tricky
- Getting the vinyl pattern to run straight from the front door through into the toilet, and a clean join where the vinyl meets the bottom stair.
- How long it took
